Update from NORDRESS

Rasmus Dahlberg, PhD-fellow at COPE and the Danish Emergency Management Agency, is currently in Iceland conducting field work as part of NORDRESS, a five-year Center of Excellence on Nordic Societal Security and Resilience funded by NordForsk.

His main research area while in Iceland is cruise ship safety in the Arctic - but who would say no to an invitation from ICE-SAR (an Icelandic association of volunteer responsible for search and rescue operations) to go on an avalanche training exercise and drive ATV's and snowmobiles...
